A custom build starts with a conversation at our St. Petersburg shop about how you ride, what you want and what you want to spend. From there we plan it together, agree on the price, and only then order parts.
How a build comes together
- Talk it through. How and where you ride, your budget and your must-haves.
- Plan and price. We lay out the build and agree on the plan and price before anything is ordered.
- Parts for your build. Only the approved parts are ordered.
- Progress updates. We keep you posted as it comes together. Soon, you'll be able to watch it over a live video call from the bench through our client portal.
- Final checks and ride. We test everything before it's yours.
Think about where you'll ride it
If your build is headed for public streets, bike lanes or trails, the details matter. Florida treats a bike with working pedals and a motor under 750 watts as an electric bicycle, with classes set by top assisted speed. Bigger or pedal-less builds fall outside that definition and outside the e-bike rules. (F.S. 316.003) We'll talk through how you plan to ride before we plan the build.
