E-moto or e-bike? It matters in Florida
Under Florida law, an electric bicycle has fully operable pedals, a seat and an electric motor of less than 750 watts. Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes stop helping at 20 mph, and Class 3 stops at 28 mph. (F.S. 316.003)
Machines that don't fit that definition, like many e-motos without working pedals or with bigger motors, aren't e-bikes under state law. That means the e-bike rules that skip licensing and registration don't cover them. Check with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles before riding one on public roads.
If an e-bike is modified so its top assisted speed changes, Florida requires the classification label to be replaced to match. (F.S. 316.20655) Thinking about modifications? Talk to us first. Read more in our Florida e-bike laws guide.

Questions riders ask
Do you work on my brand?
Send us the make and model, or call. We'll tell you straight whether we can take it on.
Do you sell e-motos or parts?
No. We're a repair shop. Parts are ordered for your repair once you've approved it.
What does a repair cost?
That depends on what's actually wrong, so we diagnose first. You'll know the price before any work or parts.
